Venue: CTICC (MEETING ROOM 1.63)

Overview

This will be a two part programme. The first part will be aimed at novice colposcopists and clinicians who are already performing colposcopy in their centres, wishing to improve their colposcopic skills. The second session is a programme which aims to provide selected trainees with the necessary skills and competencies to become independent colposcopists and future trainers. It will establish global standards for training courses in colposcopy and cervical pre-cancer management. This will be under the auspices of IFCPC, a Federation of National Colposcopy Society and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which is part of the World Health Organisation (WHO) with Prof Walter Prendiville (Ireland) and Prof Maggie Cruckshank (Scotland) as the steering team. The course will continue as an online course with an OSCE assessment at the end of training.
